Art and Fashion

Freedom of Expression

As an artist when I look at the world around me, including people, I always look for something which has been taken for granted but which in fact is the most important part of the person or object. It is this aspect of the image that I would try to bring out in the drawing or painting.

Everything has its own identity and idividuality and can look good without looking the same as everything else. When a person or an object's inner identity can be found then what is seen is truly great. For me this is the meaning of art!

A Need for Fashion

However, In the wider sense, without fashion there would perhaps be less desire for a person to look good and feel good. Also, fashion in every sense of the word extends much further than this and can be related (as an example) to art which is currently being sold as 'fashionable' items of art, ultimately fetching huge sums of money for the buyers.
